F35 'adir'stealth fighter landed at nevatim
airbase on december 12,2016 the delay

pilot flew 32 sorties on the F-35 simulator.

and Assembly base at the same time as the
Israeli.the 32 sorties flown by the Israeli pilots
were long and throught and included night
flying.at the end of each sortie,a detailed,in-
depath debriefing session was conducted,the
instructors explained that is not the same as the
pilot'work in a fourth -generation fighter:while
with the aircraft of the previous genaration the
pilot had to focus on sysetem operation,with
the F-35'adir'fighter the pilot focuses on
managing the mission,as most of the system
are controlled by the aircraft-in part,with no
pilot intervention.

shortly after 8:00 PM,F-35 fighter No.901
landed on the runway at Nevatim,Follwed
immediately by fighter No.902-two gray
Fighter illuminated by a greenish light.prior to

of F-15I Ra'am fighters,led by the commander
of the IAF'Hammers'Squadron,lt.col.Guy,
who welcomed the USAF pilot and escorted
them to the runway.after landing,they became
the property of the Goverment of Israel and the
most recent addition to the order of battle of.
IAF.The IAF came of age Yesterday-from 4th
genaration fighters to 5th genaration fighters.
immediately after the landing it was timee for the
adorning ceremony,and the emblems of the
State of Isarel and the Isareli air force were
attached to the two gray fighters.President
Rivlin and IAF Commandat Eshel attached
the declas to one of the fightes,and Prime
Minister Netanyahu and the Commandant of
Nevatim air base attached the decals to the
other fighter.then came the greetings.
President Ravlin: Today,22 tons of flying steel
have landed here ,which would change the
face of the Middle East.this aircraft will slash
through the air father and deeper than ever
before.this air craft consolidate a strategic
gap-a vital commodity in our region"
Prmie Minister Netenayahu in a forceful and
assertive statement:Anyone considering an
attck against us will be attacked and anyone
contemplating our destruction will place
themselvs in existential danger.the 'Adir'
fighter provide a boost of power to Israel's
Millitary strenght.The long arm of the State of
Israel has just become longer and mightier."
US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter:"Israel
is the only country in the region thats would
employ F-35 fighters.The USA is commitmented
to mainaining Israel Military advantage,and
this aircraft symbolizes that commitment.the
'Adir' is the ideal aircraft for joining the coalition
in oder to operate together effectively,and
we will continue to provider Israel with 'Adir'
fighter."
IAF Commandant,Maj.Amir Eshel:
"thee skies of the Middle East are the World's
most sevaerely threatened airspace,and that
was reason we had embarked on the
journey to acquire the F-35 fighter.the IAF's
fifth-genaration revoution is being lunch lunchead
right here at Nevatim airbase.as of tonight,
a fascinating man-machine encounter at the
cutting edge of aviation technolgy will be
taking place here this aircraft will become
more and more blu-and white.we are
preparing to take dilivery of 50 'Adir'fighters."

an amazing program ...since the beginning,
we've invested hundreds of milions of dollars
to reduce the price of the airplane more than
70%.
we project the price of the aircraft will be
US$85 milion in the 2019-2020 timeframe.
when we get to the price ,the F-35 will be less
expesive than any fourth -genaration fighter in
the world...
On the day follwing the ceremony,December
13,2016 the commander of the IAF's Golden
Eagle Squradron,Lt.Col.Yotam ,and another
pilot,departed on the maiden fight of the F-35
stealth fighter in the Israeli skies.For both
Pilots it was the frist real-life fight on these
aircarft,as they had only traned flying them
on simulators while in the USA.
The F-35 stalth fighter are still under
Developent,so the qualification are
awarded to the aircarft in stage -by-stage
manner.For exsample ,the gun system for the
air craft will only be dilivered 2018,while
the highst operational qulification,F3 will
be awarded to the squadron only in about two
years from now.Thats is the main difference
between the assimilation of the F35 fighters
and any other aircraft model IAF had acquired
and assimilated,including its most advanced
fighter-the F-15i Ra'am and the F-16i sufa.
